Paracas will hold a special program this Saturday, February 7, to celebrate National Pisco Sour Day, according to the Paracas Chamber of Tourism and Foreign Trade (CAPATUR).
“The day before, on Friday, February 6, Miss Pisco Sour Paracas 2026 will be chosen from among ten candidates, most of whom come from the Ica region,” said CAPATUR president Eduardo Jáuregui in statements to Agencia Andina.
On the main day, the celebrations will continue on El Chaco Boulevard, with the participation of municipal authorities and representatives of the region's business sector. As part of the program, there will be a parade along the main street of the resort, accompanied by Paso horses, in homage to Peru's emblematic drink.
Regarding the performance of pisco in international markets, Jáuregui reported that exports reached $8.5 million in 2024, with the United States, Spain, and Japan being the main destinations. He added that the trend of exporting pure pisco, acholado, and green must continues.
Finally, he estimated that pisco exports would have exceeded $10 million by the end of 2025, reflecting the sustained growth of this flagship drink in the international market.
