FULL ITINERARY

Day 01

Arrival to Lima 

Upon arrival in Lima, the capital of Peru, you will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a free day to rest and explore Lima's famous cuisine. Overnight in Lima.

Day 02

City Tour and Larco Herrera Museum

  Tour schedule: 9:00 a 14:00 hrs

We begin this journey throughout southern of Peru,  in Lima, the capital of Peru, the City of Kings. Our first stop is Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Hispanic archaeological site built in the 4th century AD. From there, we head to Lima’s historic center, where you’ll see impressive colonial and republican architecture, including the Main Square, Government Palace, and Lima Cathedral. We’ll also visit San Francisco Church and its eerie yet fascinating catacombs.
Then continue to the modern side of the city as we tour the residential and financial districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, offering us a stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.
To complete the experience, we’ll visit the Larco Museum, housed in an 18th-century vice-royal mansion. The museum features one of the world’s most remarkable collections of pre-Columbian art, including exquisite gold and silver artifacts and the famous erotic pottery gallery from the Moche culture (developed between I to VII century AD). Overnight in Lima.
Optional: The Gold and Weapons Museum of Peru can be visited instead of the Larco Museum.

Day 03

Flight to Cusco city

Based on the flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to the imperial city of Cusco! Upon arrival, you'll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. We recommend drinking traditional coca tea and resting during the first few hours to better acclimate to the altitude. Free afternoon to explore Cusco’s historic center. Overnight in Cusco.
Optional: Cusco City Tour 14:00 to 18:30 hrs.

Day 04

Sacred Valley Tour

  Tour schedule: 8:00 a 15:30 hrs

Pick up from hotel, this guided tour will take you to fabulous sites in the Sacred Valley, including archaeological sites in picturesque towns full of history and tradition. We start in Chinchero, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and mountains. Here, you can find remnants of Inca Tupac Yupanqui's palace and a beautiful colonial church. Next, we continue to the circular terraces of Moray, which were likely an Inca agricultural laboratory. Then, we’ll visit the salt mines of Maras, with over 3,000 salt ponds used since pre-Inca times. Finally, we’ll head to visit Ollantaytambo, the inca living city,  another monumental example of Inca architecture. Overnight at Ollantaytambo.

Day 05

The Sun Route Cusco –Puno (7:30 – 17:00) (B)(L).

The journey starts with a short walk to the train station of ollantaytambo, from there, you will board the train to Machu Picchu town or Aguas Calientes, located at the foot of the majestic Machu Picchu mountain at an altitude of 2,000 meters above sea level.
During the 1 hour and 45 minute train journey from Ollantaytambo, you will not only enjoy spectacular views of towering mountains and picturesque villages along the Urubamba River but also witness how the landscape transforms from open Andean panoramas into the lush vegetation typical of the high jungle.
Upon your arrival in Aguas Calientes, your guide will be waiting to accompany you on a 30-minute bus ride up the mountain to the entrance of Machu Picchu. According to your assigned entry time, ou’ll present your tickets and Passport to begin the guided tour.
You will explore Machupicchu Inca Site for approximately two hours, walking through ancient temples, plazas, trails, and viewpoints that show the magnificence of the Inca civilization. After the tour, you will return to Aguas Calientes. There, you’ll have time to enjoy lunch or take a short walk around town if time permits, before boarding the return train to Cusco.
At the scheduled time, you’ll begin the return journey by train and vehicle to Cusco, arriving at your hotel approximately four hours later.
Note: Return train schedules on the same route are subject to the entry time on your Machu Picchu ticket and may be at 15:20, 16:22 or 18:20

Day 06

Rainbow Mountain

  Tour schedule: 4:30 to 17:30 hrs
  Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch
  Difficulty level : Moderate

We will start early, picking you up from your hotel to head south of Cusco. During the nearly two-hour journey, you will enjoy charming views of the Andean landscapes and small villages along the way.
Our first stop will be in Cusipata village (3,310 m.a.s.l.), where we will have an energizing breakfast. Then, we will continue by vehicle for another hour and 30 minutes until we reach Kayra Wiri (4,711 m.a.s.l.), the starting point of our hike.

From there, we will begin a two-hour hike to Rainbow Mountain (5,200 m.a.s.l.). Along the trail, you will be surrounded by majestic mountains, colorful landscapes, and impressive snow-capped peaks such as Apu Ausangate (6,384 m.a.s.l.). You will also encounter local villagers who preserve their traditions and wear vibrant, multicolored clothing. Throughout the journey, you will have the chance to see alpacas and llamas curiously observing visitors.

Once at the summit, you will have time to take in the stunning scenery. After this unforgettable experience, we will hike back for two hours to the starting point. Then, we will continue by transport to Cusipata, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch before returning to Cusco.

Note: There are two routes to reach Rainbow Mountain: one through Pitumarca and another via Cusipata. The main difference between them is the travel time by vehicle and the hiking distance.

  Cusipata Route: The total travel time by vehicle is approximately 6 hours (round trip). However, the hike is longer, covering 7 km and taking around 4 hours (round trip).
  Pitumarca Route: This route requires 1 additional hour of travel time compared to Cusipata, but the hike is shorter, with a 3.5 km trail and an estimated duration of less than 3 hours in total.

Both options offer breathtaking landscapes and the chance to enjoy an unforgettable experience. On a private tour, you can choose the route that best suits your fitness level and preferences. However, for group tours, the Pitumarca route is prioritized.

Day 07

 Scenic Journey from Cusco to Lake Titicaca, Puno

  Distance from Cusco to Puno: 387 km via paved road
At the scheduled time, transfer to the bus station for your journey to the city of Puno. Along the way, you will enjoy beautiful landscapes that change as you ascend through different altitudinal zones. We will begin in the inter-Andean valleys and, as we continue, we will move onto the plateau of the Peruvian highlands. Along the route, you will also see small villages with farmers and camelid herders. We will visit the Andahuaylillas Chapel, one of the most beautiful examples of Andean religious art; Raqchi, the Temple of the god Wiracocha, a truly monumental structure; and Pukara, an important lithic museum. Upon arrival in Puno, transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Puno.
 

Day 08

Amantani Islands – Taquile Island – Puno

Today, we explore two of the most iconic islands on the Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca. At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel to begin this unforgettable experience.
We’ll board a speedboat to the Uros Islands (3,812 meters above sea level), a group of floating islands made from totora, an aquatic plant used by the inhabitants to build their homes and boats. The Uros people have preserved their traditions since ancient times, offering a unique cultural experience.
Next, we’ll continue by boat to Taquile Island, home to a Quechua community that has maintained a collective work organization. Their textile art, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, is one of the highlights of the visit.
Here, we’ll enjoy a traditional lunch followed by a walk along paths that offer spectacular views of Lake Titicaca.
After the visit, we’ll return to Puno, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 09

Departure Day 

Last day of the Peru vacation package service, after touring the main attractions of the city of Cusco, Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca our tour concludes without any complications.

At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima or international flight.
